PLEASE share this amazing video!

" A Thousand Suns

A Thousand Suns tells the story of the Gamo Highlands of the African Rift Valley and the unique worldview held by the people of the region. This isolated area has remained remarkably intact both biologically and culturally. It is one of the most densely populated rural regions of Africa yet its people have been farming sustainably for 10,000 years. Shot in Ethiopia, New York and Kenya, the film explores the modern world's untenable sense of separation from and superiority over nature and how the interconnected worldview of the Gamo people is fundamental in achieving long-term sustainability, both in the region and beyond."

"I am sure 'A Thousand Suns' will spread the light of wisdom, will strengthen indigenous options and will show that it is biodiversity, not toxics which provides food security in Asia, Africa and the world." ~ Vendana Shiva

  1. Nice documentary. All under the guise of "helping them", the corporations and rich just want control. To sell their seeds. They care nothing for these people. If they did care, they would GO to africa and learn and share, not try to dominate them. And the way the church has taken over and telling people they are evil is awful. =(

  2. I love this movie, and am going to share it at my own blog! :) I agree with the farmers who are against the corporate takeover. It's so true that the coming of the missionaries disconnects them from nature within themselves. This is indeed what we are missing in today's world, which is why the planet suffers, and we also suffer. We've forgotten the Great Mother. Why change a healthy, spiritual people into a destructive force? Belief does matter. The more holisitic and earth focussed the better. Thanks for sharing it.
